13:00 – Nella Diepeveen is a PhD student at the Hybrid atom-ion Quantum Systems group and introduces us to her work on trapped ion systems, how optical tweezer systems are optimized to expand the scope of quantum simulation systems.

14:00 – Charusheela Ramanan, Assistant Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, talks about her research into organic chromophores and how these molecules can be applied to energy conversion and sensing applications.
